Datawind is a well known brand in India and also in world for making world’s cheapest tablets running Android operating system. Akash was the first cheapest tablet of the world which was manufactured by Datawind and now they have launched three new Android tablets in India.

The three new tablets launched in India are UbiSlate 7Cx, UbiSlate 3G7 and UbiSlate 9Ci. The starting price tag is just Rs 3,999 and maximum is Rs 6,999 only. This shows that these tablets are in ultra affordable price range.

During the launching of these tablets, the CEO and President of Datawind Ltd., Mr. Suneet Singh Tuli said, “Despite the recent drop in value of the Indian Rupee, we are committed to bringing affordability in computing and internet access to India’s masses. With this commitment, we’ve held strong and not increased pricing of our products, and instead, now are introducing new products with breakthrough pricing.”

I’m writing highlight specifications of all three tablets one by one down here so that you can find which one suits your requirements.

  • 1GHz Cortex A8 processor

It’s little disappointing that two of these tablets are running Android ICS version which is now a very older version but one of them is running Jelly Bean version.

All tablets will also come preloaded with educational content like NCERT eBooks which users can read for free. There will be lots of apps too which will be preinstalled, these apps will definitely be the popular ones.

These three tablets have got performance and battery life upgrades. They are also preloaded with some new features which we generally see in latest Android tablets.

With the price tags these three tablets are having, they are definitely going to attract customers. But Datawind has not got good reputation when it comes to shipping of devices on time because of high demand.
