Android Lollipop 5.0 Update Rolled Out for Micromax Unite 2

Android Lollipop is being rolled out for devices both by international brands as well as local manufacturers. The Indian smartphone largest manufacturer Micromax has made it official that it will be rolling out Android Lollipop 5.0 update for Unite 2 starting April 7. Unite 2 was launched last year and it has been reported that till now 1.5 million smartphones have been sold. The smartphone is wildly popular among Indian masses for its support for 21 regional languages.

Indian users will be able to receive the updates starting April 7. They will be receiving a notification related to the update and they can simple connect to internet and download the updates. It is though advisable for the users to back up their personal data before updating in case something goes wrong. The update will also be downloaded manually and applied to get the taste of flavor of latest Android version.



Speaking of the smartphone Unite 2 comes with a standard 4.7 inch IPS display and is packing a 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 4 GB of internal storage and can be further expanded to 32 GB with micro SD card. Unite 2 boasts a 5 MP auto focus rear camera along with 2 MP front facing camera.  The smartphone is packing all the usual connectivity options like 3G, Wi-FI, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone is available at a price tag of Rs 6299 across various retail outlets.
