Indian smartphone industry is being flooded by entry level budget smartphones and it seems there is no stopping for this continuing saga. Celkon, the local smartphone maker has launched another entry level smartphone targeting the lower-mid range segment and has named the new handset as Celkon Millennia Q450. This smartphone is priced at Rs. 4,799 and will be available on retail stores across the country.
Millennia Q450 is a dual-sim smartphone and will come running Android Kitkat 4.4.2 out of the box with almost no customization so it will be stock android pretty much. It features a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display with screen resolution of 480×800 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM. It will come with built in storage of 4 GB which can be expanded to 32 GB with micro SD card.
On the camera front the Millennia Q450 is featuring a 5 Mp rear camera with LED flash and 2 MP front camera for video calling. As far as connectivity is concerned it is packing almost all the useful features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro-USB. Weighing just 137 grams Millennia Q450 brings on board a 1800 mAh battery and will be available in Grey, White and Gold colors. Considering the price range the specifications are pretty neat. But it will face stiff competition from American debut entry, InFocus M2 which is priced similarly but offer way better specifications than this smartphone.
Commenting on the launch, Chairman and MD of Celkon mobile said:
“We are today pleased to launch a powerful and latest feature loaded model with an ultra-stylish design – Millennia Q450. The device is another milestone as it’s a truly design oriented smartphone from Celkon’s design house. This will be a game changer in the sub 5K category. We will continue to build such exciting portfolios to bring value for our customers.”
