Freecharge is a service in India that allows a recharge of a prepaid mobile phone. In addition to mobile recharges, you can also pay your utility bills, postpaid bills, data card bills, and DTH recharges. You can make recharges for various mobile phone carriers such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Aircel, BSNL, Reliance etc.
Freecharge has a fantastic feature called the Freecharge Wallet. You can add money to this wallet and then use the Freecharge app to make payments for mobile bill payments, utility bills, DTH recharges etc. To avail this feature, you will have to first create a freecharge account. This account is absolutely free and it will take you not more than 5 minutes to create this account. There are two ways in which you can enroll for freecharge. First, you can enroll from the Freecharge website and second, you can enroll from the free app. In both the instances, you will be guided very well so that you don’t have a problem at all.
You can also avail freecharge coupons from the website for various deals on recharges and bill payments. As soon as you open the app on you mobile phone, you will see four tabs – Prepaid, Postpaid, DTH, and Data Card. On the Prepaid tab, you need to first key in the mobile phone number and then select the operator. When you have a look at the list of operators, you will find that almost all operators are listed from India.
Once you have selected the operator, you will have to key in the amount that you need to recharge. Below the amount input box, there is a Recharge Mobile button that needs to be pressed to make the final payment. You can make the payments by debit card, credit card, and net banking. This is the same procedure for postpaid recharges. When it comes to the DTH recharge, you need to select the operator. The DTH operators that are listed with Freecharge are Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, Videocon D2H, Dish TV, Reliance Digital TV, and Sun Direct. You will need the customer ID when you need to make the payment for any of the aforementioned DTH operators. So, make sure that this ID is kept at hand when you are making the DTH recharge.
When you are on the go, you can easily use the Freecharge app to make payments for the aforementioned bills and refills. The wallet feature of Freecharge is also very handy. You can refill this wallet at the beginning of the month and then use the amount in the wallet to make payments without any hassle at all. In the Freecharge app there is a My Recharges section that will give you a history of all the recharges that you have made in the past. Thus, you can get a complete snapshot of the recharges and the amounts that you spend on your recharges.
