Karbonn, the local smartphone maker, has forayed into the mobile accessories segment also. As a first, Karbonn has launched three power banks of different battery capacities. Totally unique is the way Karbonn has named these power banks. The three variants are named as Polymer 5 with 5000 mAh battery capacity, Polymer 7 with 7000 mAh battery capacity and Polymer 10 with 10,000 mAh battery capacity respectively. Both the 7000 mAh and 10,000 mAh power banks features dual charging ports and LED indicators for displaying the remaining battery capacity.
The 10,000 mAh power bank is first of its kind in Indian market and features a TF card reader as well as LED torch along with dual USB ports. Karbonn has really brought something innovative this time in the market. The power banks are priced starting from Rs.999 for the 5000 mAh , Rs.1299 for the 7000 mAh and Rs.1599 for the 10,000 mAh. Karbonn reported that all three power banks come with intelligent IC for better power fluctuation management and thereby protecting the device from damage. These power banks are available in a wide variety of colors and will be available for purchase exclusively from Snapdeal starting from this Wednesday.
Apart from the power banks Karbonn has launched a series of screen guards dubbed as “Ultra Clear” exclusively for the Karbonn smartphones. Commenting on the launch the executive director of Karbonn Shahsin Devsare said
“The increasing mobile adoption in India has given an impetus to the demand for mobile accessories market which is burgeoning rapidly. Currently, the accessories market is dominated by grey market products which impact the functioning and efficiency of the device. The move towards expanding our product portfolio to include mobile accessories is aimed at offering the consumer the choice of technologically superior mobile auxiliaries which are affordable. We are highly optimistic about the growth of Karbonn’s accessories vertical and expect it to touch 100 crores by the end of FY 2015-2016.”
