Lava Iris Fuel 50 with 3,000 mAh Battery Announced for 7,799 INR

India based Lava that occupies the fourth position when it comes to the largest smartphone maker in the country. But, it appears like the vendor is aiming to push its growth by launching new products that come with solid specifications despite carrying reasonable price tags. Consequently, Lava is splashing the market with numerous smartphones every now and then.

Today, Lava has announced yet another enticing smartphone dubbed Lava Iris Fuel 50 that opens up a new range of devices called Iris Fuel and it is priced at Rs 7,799. Besides launching this smartphone, the manufacturer also confirmed that it will soon come up with more smartphones under the Iris Fuel lineup with the primary focus to provide a strong battery life. However, a specific time frame for the launch of the new devices remains unknown.

Talking of the Lava Iris Fuel 50, the smartphone boasts of a 5 inch IPS display that packs a FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels. This panel is layered with the scratch resistant Asahi Dragon Trail glass. The dual SIM device is stuffed with a quad-core processor of unspecified chipset ticking at 1.3 GHz clock speed teamed up with 1 GB of RAM. There is 8 GB of default storage capacity that can be extended externally by another 32 GB using a micro SD card.

On the imaging hardware front, the Lava offering features an 8 MP primary camera at its back with auto focus and dual LED flash for an enhanced low light performance. Also, there is a 2 MP front facing seflie camera for video conferencing and clicking self portrait shots respectively. The connectivity aspects are pretty common with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB onboard.

The highlight of the device is its 3,000 mAh battery that is quite bigger than some of the best selling models in the same price bracket. This battery operating under the Lava Iris Fuel 50 is rated to pump in a backup of 13 hours of talk time and up to 360 hours of standby time.

Based on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Lava Iris Fuel 50 comes loaded with features such as double tap to wake up screen and supports drawings of customizable gestures as well.
