Microsoft Introduces Office Lens App for Android and iOS

Microsoft has introduced its Windows Phone exclusive document scanning Office Lens app for Android as well as iOS users. Speaking of the Office Lens app, it is very useful and multi purpose app. The app allows the conversion of paper images of documents to other formats like Jpeg, PDF as well as PowerPoint. Other than that it comes with the added functionality of enabling users to save the photos of sticky notes. shopping receipts as well as business cards and save them to Microsoft’s OneNote app for viewing later.


Office Lens app enables the users to capture the images of business cards and directly save them as contacts in the smartphone. it also comes with other image editing tools which allow the image to be cropped, re-sized as well as further enhancing them before saving it on OneNote and One Drive storage. This is not all this office lens app also features an Optical Character Recognition which allows the users to easily reach out to the keywords embedded in the images. OneNote’s OCR technology and OneDrive’s Service app is used by this app to edit the in-image text. These images saved on OneNote and OneDrive allow the user to further restore, export as well share with other users. This app was launched by Microsoft for it’s Windows Phones only and now it is going to be available for Android as well as iOS users too very soon.
