In late October, Motorola put a halt to the rumors and speculations with the launch of the Droid Turbo that is exclusive to the popular US carrier, Verizon Wireless. Later, Motorola announced that it will be launching the international variant of the smartphone with the moniker Moto Maxx. As claimed, Motorola has announced the device and has claimed that it will be rolled out to the Latin American markets soon.
Detailing on the specifications, the Moto Maxx smartphone is identical to the Droid Turbo. Like the Verizon exclusive smartphone, this one flaunts a 5.2 inch AMOLED display that packs a Quad HD screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 565 pixels per inch and the screen is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective layer.
Under its hood, the Moto Maxx is equipped with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC that is aided by Adreno 420 graphics unit and 3 GB of RAM to take charge of graphic handling and multi-tasking capabilities. Based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, the global variant of Droid Turbo arrives with a 21 MP primary shooter at its back teamed up with dual LED flash, auto focus and support for 4K video recording. Also, the handset houses a 2 MP front facing selfie snapper for video conferencing.
Storage wise, the Motorola offering bundles with 64 GB of native storage space that cannot be extended externally as there is no micro SD card slot onboard. Other goodies onboard the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 for connectivity and a 3,900 mAh battery to keep things juiced up.
The Moto Maxx flaunts a water resistant nano coating on the outside and DuPont Kevlar fibre on its interior for protection. Also, there is a high quality durable Ballistic Nylon material on the device that provides a distinctive texture. Furthermore, the Turbo Charger is an accessory that will provide 8 hours of battery life on charging the device for 15 minutes. Also, the Moto Display feature as in the second generation Moto X is also a part of the Moto Maxx smartphone and it will wake up the phone to display notifications and time whenever desired.
