As we are drawing closer to the debut of the last quarter of this year, the rumor mills are getting too busy with details regarding the upcoming Nexus smartphone allegedly the Nexus 6 from Motorola. Lately, the media reports that were leaked online revealed that this smartphone codenamed Shamu will be named Nexus X, but it awaits an official confirmation.
For now, we have seen numerous reports have already revealed the alleged specifications of the Motorola made Nexus 6. Now, an Android Police report has come up with a leaked press render of this upcoming smartphone that sheds light on the home screen layout of the device and also confirms the previously leaked hardware aspects.
When it comes to home screen layout, the Nexus 6 is believed to feature a revamped set of icons that include new ones for the Google Drive application. Also, the navigational keys in the leaked render confirm the Android L platform that is not surprising. The design of the smartphone is also consistent with the previous leaks and the device appears like a larger variant of the new Moto X.
When it comes to specifications, the Motorola Shamu or Nexus 6 smartphone is likely to flaunt a 5.9 inch display with a Quad HD screen resolution of 2560×1440 pixels that will translate to an impressive pixel density of 496 pixels per inch. Furthermore, there are claims that the Nexus 6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor of unknown clock speed. This processor is aided by 3 GB of RAM for swift multi-tasking and smooth app handling.
The Nexus 6 or Nexus X is also claimed to include a 13 MP primary camera with optical image stabilization for quality photos. There is also a 2 MP front-facing selfie camera for making video conferencing and clicking self portrait shots. Keeping things juiced up is a 3,200 mAh battery that is believed to be juicy enough to render a decent backup.
