OnePlus has unannounced that it will debut with the already announced pre-order system of OnePlus One smartphone on October 27. However, the smartphone will be available for pre-order only for an hour for all the users.
Well, the pre-order system will begin at 15:00 GMT that is 20:30 IST on Monday. Those interested consumers can add the OnePlus One or accessories to the shopping card anytime from now from the official pre-order page. But, the final pre-order confirmation will happen only in the one hour duration on October 27.
OnePlus One is one of the most desires smartphones launched this year and it was admired globally for its impressive hardware and competitive pricing. This led to an increase in the demand for the smartphone that has forced OnePlus to come up with an invite system.
Detailing on the invite system, anyone can pre-order the OnePlus One on October 27, but the smartphone will be shipped only to 16 countries across the world. As there will be a huge demand on the day of pre-order, the vendor is allowing the interested consumers to prepare their cart in advance.
Interestingly, OnePlus has announced that the pre-ordered devices will start shipping immediately provided there is enough stock. Once the stocks of the smartphone get dried up, the shipping time will be longer and it will be mentioned to the buyers before the payment.
Also, the accessories for the OnePlus One will be sold at celebratory prices during this one hour time period. For instance, the JBL E1+ Earphones will be priced at $24.99 that is pretty low as compared to the usual $39.99 price tag.
The Indian users will have to wait for couple of months as OnePlus is expected to launch its operations in the country by December.
To refresh on the specifications, the OnePlus One flaunts a 5.5 inch Full HD JDI display and it employs a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset that is backed by 3 GB of RAM. The handset boasts of a 13 MP primary camera at its back and a 5 MP front facing selfie snapper. It arrives in 16 GB and 64 GB non-expandable storage options includes a 3,100 mAh battery, NFC, GPS with GLONASS and other standard connectivity features.
