The much awaited Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge phablets were announced officially at the IFA 2014 tech show in Berlin early this month. With the last quarter of this year approaching quickly, it is time for the phablets to hit the retail shelves across the globe.
As per the media reports, the South Korean tech giant will be launching the new Galaxy Note 4 phablet across 140 global markets by the end of October. It has to be noted that the manufacturer managed to sell its Galaxy Note 3 in over 100 countries on a single day. Hence, there is no doubt that Samsung can manage to sell its current generation phablet in 140 countries initially.
Going by the latest information, the Galaxy Note 4 will be made available for sale starting from September 26 in its home market, South Korea. Later, Samsung will be launching the device in 140 countries by the end of next month and this also includes the US market.
The Galaxy Note 4 is given a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 571 pixels per inch. The device arrives in two configurations – an Exynos octa-core variant and a quad-core Snapdragon one, both with 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone bundles 32 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded externally by another 128 GB using a micro SD card.
On the photography department, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 flaunts of a 16 MP Sony IMX240 camera sensor teamed up with optical image stabilization and dual LED flash. It can also record 4K UHD videos at 30 fps. Moreover, at the front, the phablet uses an enhanced 3.7 MP selfie camera that can make quality video calls and self portrait shots.
The Galaxy Note 4 is packed with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS with GLOSNASS and 4G LTE support for seamless connectivity on the go. The phablet is fueled by a 3,220 mAh battery that is teamed up with Ultra Power Saving mode to render superior backup to the newly launched device.
