At the IFA 2014 tech show, numerous manufacturers came up with their latest flagship smartphones for the fall. While the tech world has been abuzz with the recent launches for the past couple of days, here we come with a list of flagship smartphones that have been launched at the tech show.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and houses a 5.7 inch Quad HD 1440p Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 515ppi. The processor will either be a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor or an octa-core Exynos 5433 SoC, both paired with 3 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 boasts of a 16 MP auto focus rear camera coupled with Smart OIS and dual LED flash supplemented with a 3.7 MP front-facing camera with a f/1.9 wide angle lens. There is 32 GB of built-in storage, with support for up to 128 GB expandable storage and a 3,220 mAh.
Sony Xperia Z3
The Sony Xperia Z3 is given a 5.2 inch TRILUMINOS X-Reality display with a FHD screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Under its hood, is a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor that is backed by 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB and 32 GB of native storage options with support for additional storage up to 128 GB. Running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, the Sony flagship comes with a 20.7 MP rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and a 2.2 MP front-facing selfie snapper with FHD 1080p video recording. Otherwise, the handset includes 3,100 mAh battery that can render a decent backup to the device.
Microsoft Lumia 830
The Lumia 830 smartphone based on the update of Windows Phone 8.1 called Lumia Denim. It is fitted with a 5 inch HD ClearBlack IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels with a pixel density of 296 ppi. There is a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz under its hood and this is aided by 1 GB of RAM. Also, the phone bundles 16 GB of internal storage space that comes with expandable storage support up to 128 GB and 15 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage capacity. The handset draws energy from a 2,200 mAh battery and has a 10 MP PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash and thinnest OIS. Also, there is a 1 MP front-facer that can facilitate in video conferencing.
Lenovo Vibe X2
The Lenovo flagship model – Lenovo Vibe X2 comes in an optional dual SIM variant depending on the region. It is comes with a 5 inch IPS display that has FHD 1080p resolution and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS topped with Vibe UI. The device is the first octa-core smartphone from Lenovo’s stable and it uses a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595M processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32 GB non-expandable default storage space. Other aspects of the Lenovo Vibe X2 are a 13 MP primary camera with auto focus and a 5 MP front-facing shooter for making video calls and clicking selfies. A 2,300 mAh battery operates under its hood providing a decent backup.
Huawei Ascend Mate 7
Huawei has come up with its flagship smartphone – Huawei Ascend Mate 7 that comes with a fingerprint scanner. The handset is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat with EMUI 3.0 and comes fitted with a gigantic 6 inch FHD 1080p IPS display topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device employs an octa-core Kirin 925 SoC backed by 3 GB of RAM for the 32 GB variant and 2 GB of RAM for the 16 GB variant. There is a 13 MP primary camera with BSI sensor and LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing camera. Also, under its hood is a juicy 4,100 mAh battery that should be capable of powering the large screen handset.
