The manufacturers come with several enhancements to their smartphone offerings to keep the trend going and one of the improvements is the thickness factor. As the devices are carries by users everywhere they go, the handsets are becoming thin gradually. Lately, the smartphone makers are coming up with many such thin smartphones and here we list five of them that are pretty thin.
Gionee Elife S5.1
China based Gionee unveiled the thinnest smartphone – Gionee Elife S5.1 that has a impressive build with a thin profile measuring only 5.1 mm. This way, the vendor managed to break its own record that was created with the launch of the Gionee Elife S5.5. Besides being thin, the device is pretty attractive with good looks. The handset comes with a 5 inch display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core chipset aided by 2 GB RAM. Other features include 2,300 mAh battery with a decent backup, and a good 13 MP primary camera along with a 5 MP front-facer. There is also 16 GB of non-expandable default storage capacity in the Gionee phone.
Gionee Elife S5.5
Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with 5 inch Super AMOLED FHD display powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset. It features a 13 MP rear camera capable of recording 1080p videos with LED flash support for low light photography and a 5 MP front-facer. Other aspects of the handset measuring only 5.5 mm in thickness are 16 GB of internal storage, 2 GB of RAM and a 2,300 mAh battery.
Sony Xperia T3
The highlight of the Xperia T3 is its slim design measuring only 7 mm in thickness and 148 grams in weight. Sony has given the handset a 5.3 inch HD Triluminos display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor ticking at 1.4 GHz powers the handset along with 1 GB of RAM. The handset also includes an 8 MP primary snapper with Sony Exmor RS and LED flash and a 1.1 MP front-facing shooter. The Xperia T3 bundles 8 GB of storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB via a micro SD card. There is a 2,500 mAh battery with the ability to provide a decent backup.
Lenovo Vibe X2
The Lenovo Vibe X2comes with a 5 inch FHD IPS LCD display and is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6595m True8Core processor. There is 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of non-expandable storage capacity in the handset measuring 7.3 mm in thickness. There is a 13 MP primary snapper with LED Flash and a 5 MP front-facer along with a 2,300 mAh battery.
HTC Desire 820
The new HTC smartphone that was launched lately is the first 64 bit architecture based Android handset that comes with 7.7 mm thickness. The handset has a 5.5 inch HD display and it employs an octa-core 1.7 GHz MediaTek MY6592 chipset with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of non-expandable internal storage capacity. At the back, there is a 13 MP primary snapper teamed up with LED flash accompanied by an 8 MP front-facer. The Desire 820 includes a 2,600 mAh battery under its hood to energize it.
