Xolo, a Lava subsidiary that was in the tech headlines this week for the launch of the Q710s smartphone has now announced a selfie focused handset. The latest addition to its portfolio includes the Xolo Opus 3 smartphone that is priced reasonably at Rs 8,499.
Elaborating on its specifications, the Xolo smartphone arrives with a 5 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels translating to a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch that is pretty standard in this price bracket.
Operating under the hood of the smartphone is a quad core MediaTek MT6582M processor ticking at 1.3 GHz clock speed. This processor is supplemented by 533 MHz Mali 400 MP2 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM to take charge of the graphic handling and multi-tasking departments respectively.
The Opus 3 is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with richer resources, but it comes as a part of most smartphones in this price segment. In terms of imaging, the Xolo phone boasts of an 8 MP primary snapper using the Sony Exmor R sensor. The snapper is teamed up with auto focus, LED flash, 5P Lens and f/2.0 aperture for an enhanced photography performance. At its front, there is a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter with 88 degree wide angle lens to click wider selfie shots.
The connectivity aspects that are a part of the Xolo Opus 3 are pretty standard with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality. The device gets energized from a 2,500 mAh battery, but the backup delivered by the same remains unknown. Anyways, we believe that this battery can be capable of pumping in a decent backup to the selfie smartphone.
