There are not many tablets available with Tegra chipsets developed by NVIDIA but if you’re looking for a tablet which you’ll use mostly for gaming then Tegra processor powered tablets are better than any other.

XOLO has recently announced a new tablet which is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset which is mainly developed to enhance gaming experience on tablets. The tablet is named XOLO Play Tab 7.0 and it is launched with a price tag of Rs 12,999.

During the launch event, Sunil Raina, Business Head at XOLO said, “As XOLO continues to deliver on its promise to bring differentiated technology to discerning consumers. We’re replicating the success we’ve achieved in the smartphone category now in tablets. XOLO Play Tab 7.0 marks the first tablet in the XOLO Play category of products, powered by NVIDIA Tegra. Similar to XOLO Play T1000 smartphone launched in July, the Tablet delivers similar entertainment now on a bigger 7” screen.”

The tablet got quad core CPU inside which is supported by 12 cores GPU. This reflects how powerful the tablet particularly for gaming. Let see what all the specifications of XOLO Play Tab 7.0.

As the tablet is for gaming so there is TegraZone app pre-installed using which users can search and download high quality games which are optimized for the Tegra 3 chipset. Although users can also search and download games from Google play store but they may or may not be optimized for the chipset inside.

The disappointing feature in the tablet is the Android OS version, as its just 4.1 which is not the latest version available for tablets. This version will not bring many new features which are there in the Android 4.2 and higher versions. But if you don’t care for Android version and rather looking for a tablet particularly for gaming within budget price then it can be a good option.

XOLO has kept the XOLO Play Tab 7.0 price at just Rs 12,999 so making it affordable for users looking for budget price tablets with better gaming experience.
